Another memory filled day on the Watauga Tailwater, got four browns from one run, all in the 17 to 21 inch range and a bruiser of a rainbow right at 20 inches in the Caddis Riffle. Taught the clients to use several new techniques today, Tenkara, Czech Nymphing, and Twitching. If you want to learn how to fish these techniques and give yourself a shot at one of these trophy fish, give me a call.
Lets get you out there where the fishing is as hot as the weather!!!

The topwater action for trout on the South Holston and Watauga Tailwaters as well as for smallies on the Holston Proper is excellent!!!!! There is nothing like watching a fish take your topwater presentation, be it dry flies for trout or popper/sliders for smallies. This past weeks trips have really produced some nice fish.
Give me a call and get in on this exciting topwater action.

A big happy 4th of July to everyone. I want to thank all those past , present, and future who fought for our freedoms so we can celebrate a day like today.
It is hot here in East Tennessee, and the fishing is the same. It has been a great week of trout and smallmouth fishing on the Watauga, and Holston Proper. Now that we are getting into the best of summer, most folks will be chasing the smallmouth bass. There is nothing like seeing the explosion of a smallie inhaling a topwater fly. My good friend Mr. Bob Clouser has come up with some truly excellent topwater flies that are doing a great job on the Holston Proper. Check out how well the fish like them, they take them deep.

The Watauga is fishing very well and we are getting into some really nice rainbows on our float trips through the Quality Fishing Zone.
