Well Summer has officially arrived and the fishing is excellent. The Watauga is fishing good, big fish looking up for those big meals like beetles, ants and hoppers. The South Holston is wade only but should be back to generation soon and the high water floats with Sulphurs hatching will be the ticket. The smallie action on the Holston Proper is kicking into high gear.

Fishing has been as hot as the weather…….

Fishing has been as hot as the weather here in East Tennessee on the South Holston, Watauga and Holston Proper Tailwaters. We went from the cold rainy days of Spring to the Dog Days of Summer. Temperatures have been record breaking and heavy rains have made for some interesting float trips but the fishing has been excellent.
