Still high water and more rain

We are still enjoying the high water generations from the TVA due to the excessive spring rains. No complaints here, we need to recover from the past 3 or 4 years of drought conditions. We are having good success when fishing on high water floats on both the South Holston and Watauga Tailwaters. The new sinking line technique is working well and the sports are taking to it quickly. It is like fishing a lead core sinking line but without all they hard work to get the line up and out of the water. Give me a call and come fish this new style of streamer fishing.

A week of new fly fisher persons

The trips this week have been new fly fisher persons who came to the Appalachians Mountains of East Tennessee for their “Spring Breaks”. I enjoy teaching new folks to cast and catch their first trout or smallmouth on the fly rod. The smiles on on the faces say it all.
